A Few Things Everyone Wants to Know
Yes! The original swimming pigs live in Exuma, about 80 miles from Nassau - a long, full-day trip. Our swimming pigs bring that famous Bahamian experience much closer to Nassau, so you can meet them, feed them and swim alongside them without spending your whole day traveling.
Most experiences depart from the Paradise Island Ferry Terminal, behind Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville. The Swimming Pigs Express departs from Elizabeth on Bay Marina, just a short walk from the cruise port. Your ticket will confirm your departure point. From there, it’s about 25 minutes across the turquoise water to paradise.
Almost certainly. Thousands of cruise guests visit Pearl Island every year. Our full-day experiences return to Nassau around 4:00 PM, while the Swimming Pigs Express returns around 2:00 PM, leaving plenty of time for most evening departures. If your ship has an earlier all-aboard time, contact us before booking and we’ll make sure the timing works for you.
Every experience includes the roundtrip ferry, two white-sand beaches, lighthouse access, kayaks and paddleboards, beach chairs, showers and bathrooms. Most also include a traditional Bahamian lunch. The Economy and Swimming Pigs Express keep things simple without lunch included and come at a lower price because of it.
Absolutely. Calm, shallow water, soft white-sand beaches, an ice cream bar and the Aqua Park give kids plenty to get excited about, while parents can actually relax. Children 3 and under visit free, with child pricing for ages 4–12 (from age 8 on snorkeling experiences). Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
